Help fund for a community centre.

Alhamdulilah, by the blessings of Allah, YMCO are happy to announce the launch of Newport’s first Muslim run Community Hub!

We are in need of your generous support to raise our total target of £300,000.
Firstly, we need to reach £100,000 by the end of Ramadan to start work on the building ASAP** .

We want the YMCO Hub to be the focal point for the community. To provide activities, programmes and educational classes for the whole community. There will be a strong focus on the youth and also provide a much needed space for marginalised community groups.

Below are some of the services that the centre aims to provide ;

Youth Development:

Youth club
Structured developmental courses
GCSE / A level tuition
Homework and IT clubs
Youth socials
Days out & sports activities

Women:

Female only youth clubs
Fitness & self defence classes
Dedicated creche facilities
Female only functions & events

Islam:

Structured courses
Classes ranging from Quran, Arabic & Hifdh
Outreach/Dawah
Lectures & weekly classes

Facilities:

Fully commercial kitchen
Dedicated crèche / nursery room
Library & learning area
Disabled access toilets
Baby changing facilities
Classrooms
Office space
Terraced roof garden

Helping to establish this centre counts as sadaqah jariyyah, a special act of charity which continues to provide the reward of ongoing good deeds to its giver even after they have reached their grave.
