While you are logged into Windows, right-click on the start menu. You’ll see a sub-menu come up. Press and hold the shift button with one hand, and then click on restart. You’ll see options come up. Choose Troubleshoot, Then choose Advanced Option. Shut down your Surface and wait about 10 seconds to make sure it’s off. Press and hold the volume-up button on your Surface, and, at the same time, press and release the power button. The Microsoft or Surface logo appears on your screen.
