At the Rahm Within session, we focused on simple nourishment and wellbeing.
The group had lemon, ginger and honey tea and had a stew soup made by Ruba served with tiger loaf. Together, we considered the ingredients and created recipe cards to take home as part of our ongoing focus on healthy, womb friendly food.
Alongside this, we explored the luteal phase and menstrual phase and its connection to physical and emotional wellbeing. The discussion highlighted how rest and reflection during this time can support balance and ease symptoms. We also looked at faith based perspectives on prescribed rest during menstruation, understanding how rest can be a meaningful and intentional act of care.
Our conversation drew on the examples of Asiya and Fatimah RA, reflecting on their strength, wisdom and the importance of honouring the body’s natural cycles.
As we move through the winter months, we continue to focus on practical steps that support holistic health.
