We kicked off 2026 with Saturday Kids Club and it was lovely to see everyone back together again and ready to get stuck in.
The children absolutely loved mini LEGO building, throwing themselves into the challenge and we can safely say the adults learned a lot too! We also had painting corner, a salon corner, bead making corner and a computer corner, giving everyone plenty of choice and fun activities to explore.
During story time, the children listened so attentively it was a real pleasure to see such focus and engagement.
As always, refreshments were enjoyed, with hot chocolate in demand We also had cucumber and cheese sandwiches , and families were able to take home sprouts and parsnips, kindly available at Maindee Library… perfect for a root veg curry!
As part of our session, we also handed out special badges this week to Maya, Rahmah, Ilyas and Liyana for being absolutely fab! though as always, every child was a superstar!
Its clear to see the impact of having this much needed cosy space during the colder months where children and families can join together indoors doing activities but also having that much needed connection GAVO – Newport
At our Mini Tasbih Craft Session the children had a wonderful time designing their own 33 bead tasbihs, choosing colours, patterns and adding their own personal touch. Alongside the crafting, we shared a reminder and story time about the importance of dhikr, remembering Allah in our hearts and on our tongues and how tasbihs can…
Unfortunately, we need to postpone our next cookalong due to some work taking place at the venue. We know you and the children were so looking forward to it! The next cookalong will be after Ramadan, and we’ll keep you posted with updates. We’ll also be inviting different families who haven’t yet had the chance…
